I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the following volunteers who help the library to serve students and staff better--
Carole & Jerry Spiess:  for regular donations of children's magazines that are made available free to teachers and students
Cathy Bonnell:  for helping when the BIG book order arrived from the special donation.
Patricia Retana & Maria Cuautle:  for re-shelving books, and doing special projects that come up.
Your contributions really make a big difference--THANK YOU

If anyone reading this would like to be an adult volunteer in the library, please call 602-347-2309 and we can talk about how you may be able to help out.  I can always use help. FYI- If you are a parent of a student you will not need to go through the fingerprint process.

Accessing Culturegrams outside of school

Culturegrams is an online database which gives information much like an encyclopedia, but more. One can hear a country's national anthem, know the current time of a country, learn about famous people of a country, find traditional country recipes and other interesting information.  You can log in from home.  Just go to the URL -- online.culturegrams.com and when asked for the user name and password, key in "maryland" (without quotation marks) for each.  There are also sections for information about the states of the US and the provinces of Canada.
